U20 & 23 British Weightlifting Championships 2013

15 June 2013, 4 golds, 2 silvers, 1 bronze for kazem’s lifters

We are 2013 British U20 & U23 champion in Glasgow, perfect result.

Gold: Louis Hampton and two new British records for youth.
Shila Panjavi another gold since 2011 and 2012.Kingston university- Ealing club
Noorin Gulam British champion with new personal best.Barnhill community high- HIllingdon club
Daniel English, a British u20 champion ,st Mary’s student.Richmond

Silver: Poi Fakcha and become a member of British youth national team qualify for European youth in September.

Shonagh Woodburn-hall bronze in U20 and she is only 14. Cranford High school- Ealing
And unfortunately a bad day for Adam Mattiussi from st Mary’s, he lost his snatches and gold and qualify for European u23, but still a chance for him in the British seniors.

All your hard work paid off.

Louis’ category is 56kg but we moved him to 62kg to enjoy, and he did 85kg snatch and by 106kg in clean & jerk he broke the British youth record in clean and jerk and 1kg more then british record total of 190kg and this way he broke two record.

poi Fakcha in 58kg snatched 61kg and 73kg in clean & jerk and this way she qualified for European youth on  Klaipeda, Lithuania, from the 1st to 8th September 2013 along with Louis Hampton as he qualified on British youth last month.

Noorin did 54kg in snatch and 65kg with 2 personal best.last year SIlver this year Gold.

Shila missed 65 and 86 in clean & jerk, which could be have been a 4kg personal best, next target is 155kg in British senior.she took gold in u20 and u23 in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Shonagh Woodburn-hall  just turned 14 with a very bright future and we are sure she will be part of talent squad for this year had 50 kg in snatch and missed 53kg twice and clean & jerk 64kg and missed 65kg just enough for her to take the Bronze in under 20. another 6 British under 20 to go.

Daniel English had a bad day and couldn’t lift his best but as Darius bumped in clean & jerk he moved from second place to a British champion 2013 in u20.

Stuart Diplock a new talented lifter form st marys , fought very well and had 3 personal best by 106 kg (lost 111kg in the last second) in snatch and easy 130kg in clean & jerk but missed 139 jerk which could have helped him to qualify for the British senior next month.
